A writing framework for comparing instruments which is differentiated into the three progress steps. These can also be used with the above instrument cards to provide further assistance.

Samba Pren Mesur: ni fydd offerynnau traddodiadol yn y dosbarth am gyfnod, ond bydd gan bob dysgwr ei set ei hun o ddeunydd ysgrifennu dosbarth. Gall y rhain hefyd wneud offerynnau da! Gall prennau mesur gael eu taro oddi ar ddwylo, byrddau a chadeiriau. Gellir tapio pensiliau. Gellir slamio potiau pen. Gellir tapio dwrn yn llawn pinnau a phensiliau ar unwaith. Gellir fflapio tudalennau llyfrau. Ac mae'r cyfan o fewn cyrraedd. Gweithiwch mewn grwpiau i greu rhythm syml yn seiliedig ar eiriau fel enw eich ysgol, rheolau ysgol, enwau tai, eich ardal leol ac ati. Neilltuwch ‘offeryn’ i bob grŵp. Collaborative Project

Ruler Samba: traditional instruments will be off limits for a while, but every learner will have their own set of class stationery. These can also make good instruments! Rulers can be hit off hands, tables and chairs. Pencils can be tapped. Pen pots can be slammed. A fist full of pens and pencils can be tapped at once. Books pages can be flapped. And it’s all within reach. Work in groups to create a simple rhythm based on words such as your school name, school rules, house names, your local area etc. Assign an ‘instrument’ to each group. Experiment with how the phrases can be combined and repeated for best effect. And using nothing more than you already had, you now have your very own samba band! Challenge: use the teachers whistle as part of the band to start and finish the music.
